Kim Kardashian Is On The Cover Of The 2022 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue
As someone currently living in the digital age that can watch an 8K video of whatever tickles my fancy, I have to admit that news of Kim Kardashian being on the cover of the SI Swimsuit issue was relatively shocking. Not because the Kardashian Fame Machine got Employee Number 1 on the cover of what is (was?) a career defining cover. But because I didn't know SI still printed magazines, let alone the swimsuit issue which was a controversial topic even decades ago when middle schoolers were crotch chopping at their teachers and the media covered virginities of pop stars that had just turned 18 let alone today where everything like that is on the Cancel Watch List.
However as someone that remembers a time where the internet couldn't give you anything you wanted with a click of a touchscreen and how much of a moment it was getting the swimsuit issue in your mailbox as your teenage hormones rages, I had to cover this story. Plus I plan on commuting to the city the next three days to win The Dozen Season 2 Tournament, so I'm probably not going to have a lot of time to blog. So I might as well throw up a blog about Kim K, Ciara, and two other people I'm not familiar with gracing a cover that was headline news back in the day to load up on some clicks for what should be a very deep Cinderella run in the tournament a la George Mason.
I haven't seen the issue yet or even know if a print version exists. But after scrolling Kim and Ciara's Instagram, they clearly have experience wearing swimsuits, which anybody in the fashion #biz will tell you is the most important thing for an issue like this.
